A short introduction to yourself?
My name is Aquila Apolinario Vasconcelos, I’m 3 years and 11 months old, I live in João Pessoa/PB in Brazil. I live with my mother, my father and my sister.
How did you develop your fondness for your sport and at what age did you start learning karate?
Since the age of 1 and a half, my father has encouraged me to practice resistance and strength exercises, in 2020.
What is your style and what rank do you currently hold in?
I started training jiu-jitsu at Master Valdenio’s Gracie Barra Kids gym.
Do you have a favourite Sensei?
I train on Saturdays with teacher Mayara and during the week with teacher Valdenio.
How did you get into this position and how did your journey in this sport go?
I still haven’t had the opportunity to participate in the competition because of my age but at the end of the year, I will be able to compete.
What motivates you most about your profession as an athlete?
My big dream is to be able to participate in big tournaments and make my parents and grandfather proud.
Do you have anything you want everyone to learn?
I would like all children to have access to the sport, mainly to jiu-jitsu that has been changing my life and will change even more.
