A short introduction to yourself?

My name is Clesion Santos. I’m a jiu jitsu athlete.

How did you develop your fondness for your sport and at what age did you start?

I started training very young at 7 years old, my older brother practiced and my parents wanted me to continue in the sport with him due to discipline, respect and other aspects that jiu-jitsu benefits but I stopped training at the belt yellow when I was 10 years old and I only went back to practicing jiu-jitsu when I was 16 years old.

What is your style and what rank do you currently hold in (your sport)?

I try to be very versatile, I like to scrape and save

Are you a member of any sports team? if not have you ever been?

Yes, I am part of the social project cantagalo located in Rio de Janeiro

Describe your major highlights and achievements in sports in the past.

Brazilian champion cbjj,

vice world champion ibjjf,

south american champion cbjj,

grand slam champion Rio UAEJJF

Are there any short-term goals you’d like to accomplish in the next few months to a couple of years?

Yes, To Become world champion

Do you take sports as a profession or is it just a hobby?

I take it as a Profession

What challenges have you faced in getting to where you are now? You can also share any injury story.

I am not yet in a stable financial condition. I don’t have sponsorship or other resources so that I can cover my expenses to fight the big events. I count on the collaboration of friends so that I can always be competing

What motivates you most about your profession as an athlete?

My family is my fuel!

Do you have anything you want everyone to learn?

When I was the 2018 European champion in the blue belt. It was my first time in Europe playing in a very prestigious championship
