Dhionnata Success Story
Dhionnata
Dhionnata a Jiu-Jitsu athlete.
I’m 12 years old and I’m a Jiujiteiro. My mother put me in jiu-jitsu school because I was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, that is, it was almost impossible to pay attention or keep my attention focused on something for a long time, I was always very restless, which harmed me a lot even in school, and after jiu-jitsu, everything changed.
I’ve been practicing this sport for 4 years that has given me a lot of joy until today and I hope it’s just the beginning. I am part of the overmatch academy of master Jefferson Bald in the city of Cachoeirinha RS – Brazil.
I live in Gravatai at a distance of 30km round trip 3 times a week to train jiu-jitsu, and gym (weight training) every day. I have always been a competitive person and with only 15 days of classes. I wanted to compete and I won first place in this competition. And from then on I never stopped, there are more than 70 titles, among them the most important: bi world champion Brazilian Champion bi champion gaucho Tri-champion Abu Dhabi International.
I want to bring jiu-jitsu into my life, I dream of competing abroad, being known around the world, and making my parents and my teacher very proud.
My biggest challenges have always been the money to pay for my championships, very few sponsorships so we manage as we can, raffles, risotto, cake in the pot, fruit salads, and solidarity tolls.
I am grateful to have my parents by my side, supporting me and encouraging me always, I usually say that we need a base so that we can grow, without it it is very difficult. Thanks for the opportunity to tell my story.
