A short introduction to yourself?
My name is Eduardo Enes, I’m black belt since 2007, 41 years old, married, resident of Teresópolis-rj Brazil.
How did you develop your fondness for your sport and at what age did you start?
I started in the sport through taekwondo and later in jiu-jitsu in December 1999 at the initiative of my older brothers.
What is your style and what rank do you currently hold in (your sport)?
Today I occupy the first place in the ibjjf ranking in the Master category 3 black belt featherweight.
Are you a member of any sports team? if not have you ever been?
I got to know jiu-jitsu at the nova barra gym in Teresópolis, in 2013 I was invited by teacher @Theodoro canal and master @julio to be part of the Gf team in Meier-RJ
Describe your major highlights and achievements in sports in the past.
In 2021 I was Brazilian champion and took the lead in the national and world rankings CBJJ/IBJJF

Second place World Master IBJJF World Champion 2018

Are there any short-term goals you’d like to accomplish in the next few months to a couple of years?
The biggest challenges this year is to win the Pan American in Florida, the Brazilian in São Paulo and again the world in Las Vegas
Do you take sports as a profession or is it just a hobby?
I live professionally from jiu-jitsu
What challenges have you faced in getting to where you are now? You can also share any injury story.
It was definitely alcoholism, until the beginning of the blue belt, I reconciled nightlife with sports. In 2004 I decided to end my nightlife, in 2005 I met my wife Aline where she was my foundation to follow my career.
What motivates you most about your profession as an athlete?
Recognition and knowing that I serve as an example for many people
Do you have anything you want everyone to learn?
Yes, that you are, what you deserve to be!
You have everything that You yourself have earned!
So, run after your dreams, without going over anyone and trust your path to God
What tournament or match you have won are you most proud of and why?
It was the 2016 ibjjf worlds in Las Vegas!
It was an incredible competition, where I had no money, no sponsors and I had never left my country, I didn’t speak a word of English, and even then, I went alone. I had 6 fights and reached the final with one of my professors, Denilson Pimenta, where he gave me the title.
