Eliza Silva is a Jiu-jitsu athlete.

A short introduction to yourself?

My name is Eliza Silva I have a twin sister Celina Silva we are 22 years old. Since we were little we spent a lot of smarts. We have already practised swimming, handball, volleyball and muay Thai but what we called the most attention was jiu-jitsu and we have been practising the gentle art for about 8 years.

How did you develop your fondness for your sport and at what age did you start learning karate?

We started practising jiu-jitsu at the age of 14, we’ve always had this passion for the sport.

What is your style and what rank do you currently hold in?

The style we most like to fight is in the guard position, where we find it easy to fight and mobilize our opponent.

Do you have a favourite Sensei?

My master calls Abner Soares and Wagner the best, they are where our motivation comes from.

How did you get into this position and how did your journey in this sport go?

We did 8 years of jiu-jitsu and currently, we are in the purple belt.

Do you take sports as a profession or is it just a hobby?

We take jiu-jitsu as a profession, but here in Brazil it is not highly valued so we will go to the US to continue this dream.

What motivates you most about your profession as an athlete?

What motivates us most to continue is our family, our mother and father always support us.

What tournament or match you have won are you most proud of and why?

We won some important titles, such as Brazilian, State, World and some regional titles.
