Hossein Tanni, karate athelete born in 1991 in Iran.
How did you develop your fondness for karate?
I became acquainted with karate when I was about 4 years old. When I grew up, my interest in karate increased and I set a goal for myself. I started with small goals and worked harder to achieve them.
What drew you to Karate out of all other sports?
I was very young then, but I am glad that karate became my sport
At what age did you start learning karate?
From 4 years old.
What is your style and what rank do you currently hold in karate?
I practice Shotokan style.
What was the highest prize you won?
I have a bronze medal in the world e-karate competition, as well as three gold and three silver medals at the Asian and International Karate Championships.
What do you like more Kata or Kumite?
Both equally. A professional karate athlete must perform both kata and Kumite well.
Do you have a favorite Sensei?
Sensei shahram heravi.
How did you get to this position and how was your journey being in this sport?
Targeting and planning; Try and pay attention to my coach.
Do you take karate as your profession or is it just a hobby?
I consider karate my profession and what I want to pursue professionally in championship and coaching.
Who’s been an inspiration for you throughout your sports journey?
My family has played a very important role in my success and has always been an inspiration.
What challenges did you come across on getting where you are at today?
There are always many difficulties to achieve great goals. These difficulties have been for me as well. But I only saw the goal and except that, I did not think about anything and I was determined to achieve the goal.
What motivates you the most about your profession as an athlete?
I want to reach the highest and most prestigious medals and then be able to help the development of karate in the world.
What are your strengths as both an athlete and as a person?
I never get tired of trying and I will not give up until I reach my goal.
Do you have something you want everyone to learn?
In karate; more important than the championship; It is polite and respectful
The championship ends soon and this is the good name that will remain
Karate is the way of life. Try to learn a good life from karate.
