A short introduction to yourself?

My name is Kevin, I’m 15 years old and I’m a brown belt in judo and orange belt in Jiu-jitsu.

How did you develop your fondness for judo and jiu-jitsu and at what age did you start learning karate?

I learned about judo when I was eight years old at the school I attended and I started doing Jiu-jitsu when I was 12 years old with the encouragement of my parents and to complement judo.

What is your style and what rank do you currently hold in judo and jiu-jitsu?

I’m working hard to be the 1st in the ranking.

Do you have a favourite Sensei?

Yes, in judo it’s Marcelo sensei and in Jiu-jitsu it’s Claudio.

How did you get into this position and how did your journey in this sport go?

With a lot of training and dedication.

Do you take sports as a profession or is it just a hobby?

A profession.

What challenges have you faced in getting to where you are now? You can also share any injury story.

I got injured in the last judo competition on the 28th and now I’m working to recover and get back to training because there’s already competition coming up.

What motivates you most about your profession as an athlete?

Thinking that one day I’ll be able to be the best in my category and get more and more titles.

Do you have anything you want everyone to learn?

A gold medal doesn’t fall from the sky, for you to win you have to train.

What tournament or match you have won are you most proud of and why?

Give one fight of the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu championship there in São Paulo. Because I had great fights and beat a lot of good athletes.
