A short introduction to yourself?
My name is Larah Flag. I’m 18 years old and I’m a jiu-jitsu athlete.
How did you develop your fondness for your sport and at what age did you start?
I started in the sport when I was 11 years old.! I got to know jiu-jitsu after my older brother and it was an amazing experience since the first class. I was already addicted to the sport.
What is your style and what rank do you currently hold in (your sport)?
My style is determined without fear of anything.! I am currently one of the top competitive athletes.!
Are you a member of any sports team? if not have you ever been?
I am currently an athlete at the Fernando tereré gym Bjj
Describe your major highlights and achievements in sports in the past.
My main highlights are Brazilian champion
Open champion
South American champion
state champion.!
Are there any short-term goals you’d like to accomplish in the next few months to a couple of years?
My goals right now are to become IBJJF European champion
Become Brazilian CBJJ Champion
And win the world champion title pro 2022.!
Do you take sports as a profession or is it just a hobby?
I take the sport very seriously and I intend to become a professional athlete with great prominence.!
What challenges have you faced in getting to where you are now? You can also share any injury story.
I had great challenges with obesity and lack of support and courage at the beginning of my batch in BJJ but with a lot of determination, focus and effort I managed to overcome the adversities.
What motivates you most about your profession as an athlete?
The passion I feel for the sport motivates me a lot every day and along with the desire to make my life better through BJJ.
Do you have anything you want everyone to learn?
Respect for others equality for men as well as women
What tournament or match you have won are you most proud of and why
One of my favourite titles is my 2019 Brazilian Title, winning that medal after training made me believe in my potential even more.
