A brief introduction to yourself?
I am Leaie Benhenia from morocco I am 21 years old, currently, I am a karate player with the national team and software engineering student and doing karate and 8 times Moroccan champion.

How did you develop your fondness for karate?
Like every young person, my parents register me in a gym in karate in my city, and I found training there so interesting and exciting.
What drew you to Karate out of all other sports?
To be honest, it wasn’t my choice at first because only my parents choose this sport for me, but with time I start to like it and karate it’s so different and special, it’s an attacking and defensive sport with so much movement.
At what age did you start learning karate?
At 5 years old.
What is your style and what rank do you currently hold in karate?
I do not care about style.

KUMITE of course!
Do you have a favorite Sensei?
Yes, I do, and they are my sensei: – Doumaoui Abdellah && Raghai Sofia.

How did you get to this position and how was your journey being in this sport?
That was so hard of course but, it full of good things and happiness and so many emotions (good and bad ones), and a lot of sacrifices.
Do you take karate as your profession or is it just a hobby?
For me it just a hobby, but I fight and I train like a professional athlete.
Who’s been an inspiration for you throughout your sports journey?
I don’t have an inspiration but I liked all the athletes who have an attacking style.
What challenges did you come across on getting where you are at today?
You can share any injury story as well.
Well, I compete with a broken hand in African games championships (Team Category).

What motivates you the most about your profession as an athlete?
What motivates me is that I have to achieve my goals and I am focusing on that and I am trying my best for that.
What are your strengths as both an athlete and as a person?
It’s really hard for me to describe myself or talking about me so I just do my best to be THE BEST VERSION OF ME.
Do you have something you want everyone to learn?
I just want to add something so quickly, if someone has a goal in his life just push yourself, focus, and try your best to achieve your goals.
