Patricia Alcivar aka “Patty Boom Boom”, 5’4″, was born in Elmhurst, New York on December 12, 1976, and lived in New York City all her life, until 2007 when she moved to Asheville, North Carolina.
Achievements:
Patricia Alcivar is an accomplished amateur boxer having won two consecutive NYC Golden Gloves titles at 119lb in 1998 & 1999. She also won the gold at the first Women’s National Amateur Boxing title in 1997 and went on to take the silver the very next year. Her impressive performance won her athlete of the year from the United States Olympic Committee. This was the first time ever a female was given this honor for boxing. Patricia won gold on team USA in the first-ever International competition against Canada in 1998 in Scranton, PA.
