A brief introduction to yourself?
My name is Radwa arafa. I am 23 years old, I am a computer engineer and I am a missing sport 2020 in Egypt and a player in the Egypt Karate national team.

How did you develop your fondness for karate?
I used to play karate for 4 years, and I liked the training. I trained twice a day hard and I entered the junior, youth, and senior teams.
What drew you to Karate out of all other sports?
I love combat sports since I was young and my family used to play karate mama and sisters.
At what age did you start learning karate?
When I was 4 years old.
What was the highest prize you won?
I took the fifth World Youth Championship in Spain 2013, the first World Cup in Greece 2011/2012, the first African Youth Games in Botswana 2014, the first Mediterranean Championship in Cyprus for youth 2013 and the first Arab Championship in Egypt 2015 and the third individual and third collective the African Games for adults in Congo 2015.
What do you like more Kata or Kumite?
I like the Kumite.
Do you have a favorite Sensei?
Yes, my favorite sensei is Aziz kheder He was the champion of Egypt and was the coach of the Egyptian national team and coach of the USA national team.
How did you get to this position and how was your journey being in this sport?
My journey started when I was young and loved sports very much, and I played karate and loved it, I felt in it, and it started getting bigger and more and stronger.

Do you take karate as your profession or is it just a hobby?
Yes, I take Karata as a profession.
Who’s been an inspiration for you throughout your sports journey?
My family especially my mother.
What challenges did you come across on getting where you are at today?
You can share any injury story as well.
I faced a very big problem in 2015, I was the champion of Egypt, and I was traveling in the World Championships in Indonesia in 2015, and a month before I travel, the Doping Committee analyzed me and read the sample positive. Its name was Ractopamine, a substance that is not present or does not interfere with the human body other than through frozen meat. I stopped playing for 4 years of playing from 2015 to 2019, which was the most difficult thing. I stood before me in my journey, and thank God, I could return to the team again and train well so that I can play the 2021 World Championship in Dubai.
What motivates you the most about your profession as an athlete?
Support for the people, the team, and the press.

What are your strengths as both an athlete and as a person?
My strength is my confidence in us, and then myself, that I can fulfill any of my dreams.
Do you have something you want everyone to learn?
I want to inform people that there is no need. Her name is always despairing. They must have confidence in themselves and the strength to face any difficult need or anything that stops their success.
