A short introduction to yourself? 

My name is Rodolpho Bomfim I’m a Jiu-Jitsu black belt, I’ve been fighting for a few years and I love competing and training.

What sports do you practise?

Jiu-jitsu.

How did you develop your fondness for your sport and at what age did you start learning?

I started to like it as a child, I have been training since I was 9 years old.

What is your style and what rank do you currently hold in?

My style is more old school I like to drop passes and catch, currently I am among the best in Brazil.

What do you like about Kata or Kumite more?

Kumite.

Do you have a favourite Sensei?

Yes my teacher Júlio César.

How did you get into this position and how did your journey in this sport go?

The journey with long, after many international and national competitions, always being on the podium I was conquering my space on the world stage.

Do you take sports as a profession or is it just a hobby? 

Although it is very difficult to make a living from the sport, I consider it a profession.

What challenges have you faced in getting to where you are now? You can also share any injury story.

Yes, I already had spinal surgery it was a very difficult injury to recover.

What motivates you most about your profession as an athlete? 

The challenge of pushing my limits every day.

Do you have anything you want everyone to learn? 

Never give up on your dreams even if at certain times things get difficult kneel and ask God for the strength to continue.

What tournament or match you have won are you most proud of and why?

When I was Brazilian champion.
