An introduction to yourself?

Hello I call myself David Santos but known as “DD” nickname given by my training friends. I’m from the state of Amazonas currently living in Europe living from JJ

 

How did you develop your fondness for your sport and at what age did you start learning?

My father was the one who aroused this desire to train and compete, I started very new in the sport at the age of 4.

 

What is your style and what rank do you currently hold in?

I’m very strategic in my fights but I like the game more aggressive, one helping and helping the other

 

Are you a member of any sports team? if not have you ever been?

I am currently part of the PS Jiu-Jitsu International team in Europe, Portugal, Guimarães.

 

Do you have a favorite sports teacher?

I really like the melqui galvão teaching method

 

Describe your major highlights and achievements in sports in the past.

3x Abu Dhabi Professional, Grand Slam, ADCC PRO, Brazilian, National Gi & No-Gi , Spain BJJ Tour

 

Do you take sports as a profession or is it just a hobby?

Profession

 

What challenges have you faced in getting to where you are now? You can also share any injury story.

The greatest challenge has always been against myself

 

What motivates you most about your profession?

Knowing that I’m on the right track and that I’m going to have a much bigger future within the sport

 

Do you think everybody should practise sports or do you want everyone to learn?

everyone should practice

 

What tournament or match you have won are you most proud of and why?

It was the Grand Slam I did 5 fights and I won the current champion the year before in my category

 

Are there any short-term goals you’d like to accomplish in the next few months to a couple of years?

Start my own gym
