A short introduction to yourself?
My name is sascha and I love bjj, and wrestling. I’m a very active competitor and love working out with my dad too! I also love coding and designing robots. I am working towards my black belt and making the ocean cleaner with my inventions.
How did you develop your fondness for your sport and at what age did you start learning?
I wanted to learn to protect myself. I started training at 7 and My first practice was super tough and I was sore all over and had some bruises. But I didn’t want to quit. I wanted to learn more and my first professor taught me it wasn’t about strength, it was technique that was able to help me submit bigger stronger and older opponents.
What is your style and what rank do you currently hold?
My style is Brazilian jiu jitsu with wrestling.
Are you a member of any sports team? if not have you ever been?
I am a competitor for Gracie barra Columbus, Ga and also train at Icon wrestling club.
Do you have a favorite sports teacher?
My inspiration is Beatriz mesquita.
Describe your major highlights and achievements in sports in the past.
My favorite memory so far is winning the expert division belt at newbreed tournament, AGF challenger gold, silver at ibjjf international. Within the last 4 months.

I love my sport and I take my training very seriously.
What challenges have you faced in getting to where you are now? You can also share any injury story.
I recently broke my growth plate in my right thumb at AGF ATLANTA. It happened in my first match but I wanted to continue, I thought I just jammed it. I ended up winning 3 gold and a bronze going 6-1.
What motivates you most about your profession?
Testing myself physically and mentally and always learning.
Do you think everybody should practise sports or do you want everyone to learn?
Yes! It’s so much fun learning how to protect yourself, making friends, and building confidence in yourself.
What tournament or match you have won are you most proud of and why?
My recent AGF TOURNAMENT. That’s because I was injured and I pushed myself physically and mentally out of my comfort zone winning 6 out of 7 matches.
Are there any short-term goals you’d like to accomplish in the next few months to a couple of years?
Naga expert belt, ibjjf gold, and a chance to fight on jitzking.
