My name is Thierry Felipe I’m 18 years old I’ve been a jiu jitsu athlete since I was 10 years old, I’m an adult heavyweight blue belt and I’ve been looking for my place at the top

How did you develop your fondness for your sport and at what age did you start?

It started through competitions and team spirit I started at 10

What is your style and what rank do you currently hold in (your sport)?

Today I am number 1 in the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu ranking (CBJJ) and number 4 in the World Ranking (IBJJF).

Are you a member of any sports team? if not have you ever been?

Yes, Team Nova União

Rio Open Champion

Are there any short-term goals you’d like to accomplish in the next few months to a couple of years?

Yes, to be Brazilian and World Pro champion.

Do you take sports as a profession or is it just a hobby?

I take it as a Profession!

What challenges have you faced in getting to where you are now? You can also share any injury story.

The main difficulty is financial because I don’t encourage her in the sport, I also had a wrist fracture that kept me away from the mats for 6 months

What motivates you most about your profession as an athlete?

Knowing that I can give my Family a better future

What tournament or match you have won are you most proud of and why

Brazilian vice championship because it was a war to get there, to give up many things to get where I am.
